Sisters and brothers, today we greet you in Christ and invite you to pray and rejoice together.
So, when you hear the words, "God of Reconciliation", please respond with "Hear our Prayers".
Living God, Loving God, Laughing God, You are the one who turns chaos into beautiful order
and banishes darkness with the light of your presence. You fill emptiness with overflowing love, and give purpose to scientific discovery. You take time with us and in return give us eternity.
God of Reconciliation... "Hear our Prayers".
Loving God, we join with others as we pray for all ministries within our Kootenay Presbytery and in particular, on this day we pray for Christine Dudley: Minister at Nelson United Church.
We pray for our brothers & sisters at Nyanyadzi Methodist Church in Zimbabwe, peacemakers and peacekeepers serving throughout the world, and the peoples of Bolivia, Chile, Peru, named in our World Council of Churches Prayer Cycle.
God of Reconciliation... "Hear our Prayers".
Merciful God, we bring to you the needs of those burdened by sorrow, remembering especially those whose illness is terminal, those whose sadness finds no comfort, those far from home and reconciliation. We especially voice our heartfelt concerns for all those named in our Prayer List. Into your care and keeping we commit those whom we have mentioned and those known to us who need that sense of your presence, as we now bring them to you in prayer... ...God of Reconciliation... "Hear our Prayers".
We wish to pray for our Re-imagining Team at Nelson United, and ask that you allow us to share in your creative and redeeming work, and bless us with imagination and determination and dreams.
We pray for our Making Connections partners: Rapid City & area Pastoral Charge and Riverport Pastoral Charge.

May our worship this day and all our doings this week be inspired by You. May we be sustained by You and for You, and may we work with You to ensure our hopes and prayers are realised through the love of Jesus Christ and the power of His Holy Spirit.
