Spiritual Development & Growth Opportunities
Spiritual development and growth are key parts of what it means to be part of a faith communit. At Nelson United Church we are committed to providing opportunities for people to deepen their spiritual lives and to seek ways to live a more integrated life of mind, body, and spirit.
We offer a variety of opportunities to explore spirituality and what that means for you. From meditative/contemplative prayer to a worship opportunities, and retreats: their are different opportunities. Christine and David are also available for individual or spiritual conversation.

Contemplative Prayer / Meditation Groups
Dates: There are two groups meeting: One group on the 2^nd and 4^th Sundays at 7:30 p.m. and another on the 1^st and 3^rd Mondays at 1:30 p.m.
We practise together the ancient art of meditation and support one another as we seek to practice this discipline at home. We gather for some teaching and discussion as well as 20 – 30 minutes of silent prayer. You are welcome to come to either or both of the groups depending on your schedule.

Spiritual Conversation /Companionship

Christine and David are available for spiritual conversation and compamioning. This is not counselling and Christine and David are not life coaches but they can offer help with spiritual matters or be a listening ear to reflect on your spiritual life.

Retreats

Dates:As determined from time to time.

Are you interested in gathering with other folk for retreats together? These would be intentional opportunities at a nearby facility to deepen our spiritual lives and celebrate the interconnectednes of all life, the scared and secular. A retreat would be theme based and a fee woud be charged to cover accommodation, food and resources.
