The Coldest Night of the Year
Youth and families in our community and Nelson United Church members are invited to join the Spirit Explorers to walk together as part of the Nelson United Church fundraising team for the Coldest Night of the Year.
Members of the Spirit Explorers will safely walk together on the Family Day holiday, Monday February 21. We have not yet confirmed a fun route but will be adding our name(s) to the NUC team page any day now. At that point we’ll be so happy to begin collecting sponsors to help raise money for the important work the Nelson Care Society does.
The Coldest Night of The Year is a winterrific family-friendly walk to raise money for local charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness. Fundraising for local community groups and physical activity are important goals of our Spirit Explorer program.
Walking in CNOY will not replace our February youth event which will still happen on the third Friday of the month, Friday February 18th. More details to come.
